AS LEGEND HAS BEEN TOLD…
The friendship of Daryn, Jason, and Tony is one for the ages. These three men from vastly different parts of the United States were brought together by fate and a shared love of exceptional wine. The bond that formed between them was unbreakable, and the story of how it all began is nothing short of extraordinary. It all started on a lucky day in April 2006…

Tony Moll
CO-FOUNDER / PROPRIETOR / WINEMAKER
Tony’s childhood was spent in Sonoma, where he not only played football but also ran through the vineyards that his family has had roots in for over five generations. Excelling as a tight end during his college years at the University of Nevada, Tony discovered his true passion as a right guard for the Packers, Ravens, and Chargers during his NFL career. Following his retirement from football, he returned to Sonoma and committed himself to running Three Fat Guys, which he currently manages. Even today, you can spot Tony working in the winery or vineyards, as well as greeting guests and pouring wines in the TFG tasting room.

Daryn Colledge
CO-FOUNDER
Born and raised in North Pole, Alaska, Daryn attended college at Boise State before starting his career as a left guard for the Packers. He later joined the Cardinals and completed his career with the Dolphins, earning a Super Bowl ring from his championship with the Packers in 2010. Following his retirement from football, Daryn served in the Idaho Army National Guard, where he piloted a Black Hawk UH 60 Helicopter and went on one tour in Afghanistan. After retiring from the National Guard in 2021, Daryn returned to his alma mater, Boise State, where he was appointed as the Director of Development and Varsity B Coordinator. Despite his busy schedule, Daryn is a significant sales contributor in the Northwest for TFG, and he’s involved in planning future projects for Three Fat Guys.

Jason Spitz
CO-FOUNDER
Jason’s formative years were spent on the beaches of Jacksonville, Florida, and pursued his education at the University of Louisville. He dominated at the center and guard positions during his football career, taking command and control of the interior game. Jason was part of the Packers’ championship season in 2010, earning him a Super Bowl ring. After his stint with the Packers, he returned home to play for the Jaguars and then concluded his football career with the Seahawks before retiring. He subsequently returned to Louisville, where he obtained a master’s degree in business. Currently, Jason works in finance and assists with sales for TFG in the Midwest and on the Eastern seaboard.

Jim McMahon
DIRECTOR OF WINEMAKING
Jim was raised in Sonoma and attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Soon after graduating, he launched his wine career at Kenwood Vineyards & Winery under the legendary Mike Lee, working his way up to Assistant Winemaker. After nearly a decade at Kenwood, he ventured over the hill to Napa Valley, becoming Assistant Winemaker, and later Winemaker, at Luna Vineyards, followed by General Manager and Winemaker at William Harrison Vineyards & Winery. Jim then joined the world-renowned Caymus before helping grow Copper Cane into the powerhouse it is today. Now, he has decided to take on the role of full-time Director of Winemaking for Three Fat Guys, bringing his passion and expertise home.

Ani Miyasaki
RELATIONS MANAGER

Dusty Tovrea
VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS
Dusty moved to Sonoma in third grade and quickly made his first friend in class, Tony, setting the stage for lifelong connections. After graduating from Sacramento State, he built a career in the auto industry, managing for the largest internet-based auto parts retailer. But Sonoma called him home, and in 2019, he became Three Fat Guys’ first full-time employee. Since then, he’s been the Swiss Army knife of TFG, helping launch the tasting room, grow the brand, and manage everything from marketing and operations to logistics and Club TFG. Today, he continues to juggle all these responsibilities while also developing new programs and opportunities to take TFG to the next level.
