If you’ve ever wished for a tasting room that feels more like hanging out in a friend’s backyard, you’re our people. At Three Fat Guys, we believe wine tastes best when you can truly relax, sink into your seat, and enjoy the simple pleasures of Sonoma with zero pretense. Whether you’re a seasoned club member, a weekend visitor, sports fan, or part of a lively group, our backyard garden vibe was made for easy laughter, stories, and, yes, that second (or fourth) pour.
Welcome to Our Sonoma Tasting Room
Located just off Sonoma Plaza at 20816 Broadway, our tasting room is open every day from 11 AM to 5 PM (last tasting flights begin by 3:30 PM, though you can savor wines by the glass or bottle all afternoon). We recommend reservations during weekends, but walk-ins are always welcomed into our laid-back backyard setting. There’s no spreadsheet or time slot rigidity here-just come as you are, whether you’re in sneakers, sandals, or Packers jerseys.
- Dog and kid friendly. We built the space so “real life” can tag along without side-eye.
- Flexible seating for groups or cozy pairs. Tables made for lingering, not just sipping-and-dashing.
- Garden-inspired atmosphere. Greenery, shade, and open-air comfort set the tone-no velvet ropes or white gloves.
Relax: Kick Off Your Sonoma Day, No Pressure
Our roots are unique. Three Fat Guys was founded by three NFL linemen (Tony Moll, Jason Spitz, and Daryn Colledge) who knew the best moments-on and off the field-revolved around great wine and good company. That spirit is in every visit. Here relaxation really means:
- NO dress code. Jeans, shorts, ball caps, and sun dresses are all equally embraced.
- NO forced flights. Pick a tasting, just grab a glass, or split a bottle with your table. We work around you.
- NO stuffy lectures. We’re here for stories, laughter, and helping you discover something you actually love-not intimidating wine-speak.
Sip: What Will Fill Your Glass
Our lineup is always evolving, drawing from both Sonoma and Napa. Here’s a preview of what you might taste:
- Champion Brut Rosé (Sonoma County Sparkling, $50)
- 2024 Rosé (Sonoma Valley, $30)
- 2023 Sauvignon Blanc (Indian Springs Ranch, Sonoma Valley, $35)
- 2021 Chardonnay (Palmer Vineyard, Sonoma Coast, $65)
- 2022 Linemen White Blend (Sonoma County, $35)
- 2022 Linemen Red Blend (Sonoma County, $35)
- 2022 Zinfandel (Barricia Vineyard, Sonoma Valley, $45)
- 2021 and 2022 Pinot Noir (El Novillero Vineyard, Carneros, $80–$90)
- 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon (Old Rail Vineyard, Sonoma Valley, $110)
- Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (multiple vintages, including club exclusives, $160–$500)
Flights typically pour 4–6 wines: bubbles or Rosé to start, a crisp white, perhaps Pinot or Zinfandel, and a strong Sonoma or Napa Cabernet to close. Special releases or club exclusives might appear if you’re in town during a party or launch.
Wine Spotlights-A Taste of TFG’s Signature Reds

If you’re craving a flagship Napa Cab, the 2022 Rutherford Napa Cabernet Sauvignon keeps the swagger alive with black cherry, cassis, rich structure, and that iconic Rutherford “dust” on the finish. Pair it with steak, mushroom risotto, or aged cheddar for the full experience. (Club only-ask us if you’re curious about allocations.)

For a truly Sonoma expression, the 2021 Old Rail Cabernet Sauvignon brings dark fruit, chocolate, and cedar, wrapped in smooth, age-worthy structure. This is the bold red you’ll want to share with a special dinner or cellar for years.
Enjoy: How to Make the Most of the Three Fat Guys Vibe
We want you to linger. Whether you have 45 minutes or three hours, here’s how to settle in:
- Short on time? Grab a quick flight, tell us what you love (or hate), and we’ll steer you to the best pour for you. End with a glass of Cabernet or sparkling outside.
- More time? Ease into the afternoon with Rosé or bubbles, work through a custom tasting, and finish with a full bottle at your table under the garden lights. Bring snacks, swap stories, and let the day unfold naturally.
And if you like to geek out on pairings, each wine has its own backyard soulmate. Try Rosé with salty chips, Sauvignon Blanc with citrus salads, Pinot Noir with mushroom sliders, or Zinfandel with barbecue-nothing needs to be fancy, just delicious and easy.
